Born on August 1, 1978, Kristina Sunshine Jung is the only daughter of George Jung and his then-wife, Mirtha Jung. The Jung family was characterized by dysfunctionality and criminal influence, considering the father is a drug trafficker and the mother is a drug abuser who eventually landed in jail. Needless to say, her parent’s life choices cast a dark shadow over Kristina’s childhood. George Jung, also known as Boston George, became a major player in the global cocaine trade during the height of the Medellin Cartel’s dominance.

Unfortunately, Mirtha had her own fair share of struggles with addiction, and it wasn’t long before she got into prison and divorced George, leaving Kristina with the ruins of a family. After that, Kristina was raised by her grandparents, Ermine and Federick Jung, until her grandfather passed away.
